Mikita betting for value on the river is insanity. You don't beat any flush combo with a king (AK, KQ, KJ, K10, 9, K8, K7, K6), you don't beat "all Js" as Jonathan said because J9 is now beating you, you don't beat any suited combo with a 7 (6-7, 7-8, 7-9, 7-10), and Mateos even could have rivered 9s full. There are so many hands that beat you, so few that would call and lose. It's a clear check back on the river. Also the three bet on the flop is very strange.
Mateos' river check is one of the best river checks I've ever seen. He must've put Badziakouski on a 7 as well given that Badziakouski 3-bet on the flop, so he wanted to induce. However, it shouldn't have worked since Badziakouski should never have bet the river with his J and should've been more than happy to show it down.
I wonder what would happened, if Badziakouski just calls that check-raise on the flop? maybe he could get rid of his hands, I don't know
