I think the real key lesson from this video is betting big on the river. I agree that many players will just check the river in position after getting called in the two prior streets. I know I've guilty of doing that. There's a lot of profit to be made on river bets against calling stations!

"Help, people keep sucking out on me with garbage when I value bet. What do I do?" "Well just flop top two and then don't get sucked out on, and then somehow get called on the river anyway. It's so easy. No wonder you guys aren't pros like me."

He's essentially saying if people chase too wide, go for thin value with marginal made hands while keeping in mind that in the short term variance will inform your results. Flopping premium made hands is great but if the fellow will call down with ace high then you should be value betting top pair no kicker and second pair.
