BIG Mistake with an Over-Pair!

Weekly Poker Hand #328: In this live No Limit Texas Holdem cash game from bestbet Jacksonville, we see a player make a BIG mistake with an Over-Pair! Don’t just stack off in these spots and put it down to a cooler, this is not how you will win at poker! You should really think through your opponent’s range especially when he bets so large on the turn. What would you have done on the turn with QQ in this spot? Would your strategy change depending on the bet size?

Appreciate the video! I would have just check/folded post-flop (Maybe lead out post flop and fold to a raise), but I have a follow up question regarding Kevin's bet side on the turn. If Kevin had a Heart in his hand, should he still bet small, allowing fold equity? Or would a larger size be better? Does it matter with this board texture? Again, thank you for the content!

Absolutely fold. I was in a very similar spot a couple days ago with queens. Flop 9/4/2 rainbow. I check call quickly and the villain goes all in on a 2 turn. Over betting the pot by a little over $100. I call and he shows up with pocket 44's. This is all after a small 3 bet out of position. Which I did instantly regret. It should have been $65 or $70 with a $10 raise and 2 limps at 10 preflop. Villain did raise 44 by 5x preflop.. I didn't put 44 in his range and didn't think thoroughly enough. Effective $240 at 1/2

Opponent dependent, but certainly I can fold QQ, KK, AA.
